EVENT MANAGEMENT— Our Track Record:
Managing Director Ilona Soane-Sands offers an impressive track record of highly successful and memorable events which she initiated, coordinated or organised as independent consultant to two Channel Island event and destination management companies CITS and GTI from 1994 to 1996, and from 1999 to 2005 for the island of Alderney as the States of Alderney's Marketing Manager.

Since 2005, she has been actively involved in organising Alderney Week, the Channel Islands’ largest annual carnival event and continues to coordinate corporate functions for Channel Islands-based finance companies.

Europatat - European Potato Conference in Jersey- 200 delegates:
Organised travel, accommodation, catering, conference facilities, including interpreters, and entertainment programme with gala night on behalf of CITS, GTI and the Jersey Department of Agriculture & Fisheries

Maiden Voyage of German cruise liner AIDA - 600 passengers visiting Jersey for the day:
Organised an action-packed programme of events, excursions, discovery tours, treasure hunts, catering and media liaison - on behalf of CITS, GTI and Jersey Tourism.

Sedgwick Financial Services - 100 VIPs:
Organised flights & accommodation, programme of events, excursions, catering and gala night and ball in Jersey on behalf of GTI

Sun Life of Canada - 120 VIPs:
Organised flights & accommodation, programme of events, excursions and gala night and ball in Guernsey on behalf of GTI.

Lufthansa launch in Guernsey - 160 VIPs:
Organised and coordinated accommodation, programme of events, excursions, catering and gala night - on behalf of CITS, GTI and Guernsey Tourism

Channel Islands Bell Ringing Festival - in Guernsey, Jersey & Alderney: 120 delegates
Organised flights & accommodation, excursion programme and gala night on behalf of GTI.

First National City Bank of Dublin - Top Agents weekend in Jersey - 60 VIPs:
Organised an action-packed entertainment programme with Roaring 20's gala night and ball on behalf of GTI.

Since 2005: Alderney Week - eight days of action and entertainment with over 140 events organised for the island's residents and visitors. A member of the organising team since 2004, responsible for creating, coordinating and running different events, as well as publicity (programme, website and sponsorships). 2005: The Battle of Trafalgar Festival: organising two open air re-enactment performances as well as a gala ball. Total audience: approx. 4,000

2004: Celebrating 800 Years Independence from France with gala night in Alderney, catering for 200 people including 50 guests from Alderney's French twinning town Beaumont-Hague and providing an impressive entertainment programme.

2001: Visit of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to Alderney. Coordinating programme of events and media

2000: Millennium Celebrations gala night and ball in Alderney. Providing catering and a much acclaimed entertainment programme for 250 people

1999 - August 11: Total Eclipse of the Sun - and Alderney was the best place to be. Extensive coordination programme—from the early public awareness and publicity campaign to sourcing and coordinating passenger ferry transport for 6,000 visitors, including international TV, radio and press. Organising catering, accommodation, viewing facilities, and an entertainment and celebrations programme for some 10,000 people and a gala ball that night for 200 people.
